Suzanna discovered her love of making unusual pieces of jewelry in a most unusual way. Having to wear a medic alert bracelet because of an endocrine deficiency since childhood, she greatly disliked the metal chain because it didn't go with anything in her wardrobe. Nine years ago Suzanna began making interchangeable bracelets that attach to the medical tag with beads to coordinate with her wardrobe and people began ordering from her when they noticed hers.
Suzanna is now using wire, vintage pieces, chain maille, and found objects into one-of-a-kind collectible jewelry. She aims to make "eye candy for the soul". Recently she's learned the relatively new medium of polymer clay creating her own molds for pendants and beads and also likes to make candy dishes and bowls.
Suzanna has been a vendor at the Belhaven Market (now merged with the Farmer's Market) for the last three years and sells her pieces at other events such as Wellsfest, A Day in the Country, and The Jackson Street Festival with her mother helping her display and sell her creations.
Suzanna accepts custom orders, repairs jewelry, and redesigns family heirloom pieces that have special meaning that can be passed down to the present generation.
Suzanna and her dog Suzie (already named when she was rescued on the coast) enjoy walking in their neighborhood and nearby parks. Rescuing animals and helping them find loving homes holds a special place in her heart as well.
